| The National Association of Minority Contractors
(NAMC) is a nonprofit minority business,
trade, educational and advocacy association headquartered
in Washington, DC. Established in 1969 to address the
needs and concerns of minority contractors, NAMC’s
membership consists of people of all races and ethnic
backgrounds; the organization’s mandate,
“Building Bridges – Crossing Barriers,”
focuses on construction industry concerns common to
African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans,
and Native Americans.

| In February 2005, the newly organized Washington,
DC Metropolitan Area Chapter of the National Association
of Minority Contractors (NAMC-WMAC) was
founded. Rosalind T. Stephenwoof (formerly: Rosalind Wheeler
Styles) President and CEO of Capitol City Associates,
Inc. of Washington, DC serves as the chapter’s President
and Shirley Blair, President of Advanced Resources Technology
Group, Inc. serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
NAMC-WMAC encompasses Washington,
DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in Maryland
and Northern Virginia.
