Nik Reid, are active civic and business oriented
native Washingtonians who both reside and work
in Columbia Heights.
Since its inception, Avanti Real Estate Services
has been a multi-faceted real estate brokerage
and community development corporation with its
primary focus oriented toward the revitalization
of District of Columbia neighborhoods by providing
opportunities for home ownership as well as multi-family
and commercial investment.
Avanti Real Estate Services include: real estate
brokerage; property management, housing counseling
and training; community relations; developmental
zoning/feasibility analysis; and commercial sales/leasing.
The company also provides marketing, consulting
and brokerage services for condominiums and conversions

majority of Avanti's clients throughout the years
has been affordable housing renters and purchasers.
As affordable housing advocates, Avanti ensures
that all local and federal housing programs are
utilized to assist low and moderate income residents
in obtaining decent housing.
Avanti professional real estate and zoning specialists
are often engaged as speakers, panelist and real
estate industry experts for conferences, associations,
churches, public schools and universities. The
Avanti Team also hosted a local radio show entitled:
"Anyone Can Own," which focused on economic development
as a catalyst for stabilizing neighborhoods and
removing barriers to home ownership.
Major clients include national franchises, NFL
and NBA athletes, developers, churches, community
non-profits, local universities and foreign governments.
Avanti recently designed and developed a former
dilapidated crack house into its company office
building at 3421 14th Street, N.W. The building
is now being hailed by community leaders as setting
a "new standard of excellence" for commercial
facades in Columbia Heights. While simultaneously
helping to eliminate blight in the neighborhood,
this effort also returned a former boarded up
building to the District of Columbia tax rolls.
The Avanti objective is to assist the District
of Columbia with the stabilization of depressed
communities through economic development, community
revitalization and home ownership opportunities.
Accordingly, Avanti often collaborates with other
development entities with the objective of facilitating
developments that reflect an optimal mix of retail,
office and residential uses. This comprehensive
