| NAMC’s educational programs include workshops

programs, environmental issues, dispute resolution and

| LOCAL CONTRACTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (LCDP) |

NAMC's LCDP is the leading national program for achieving
small contractor participation in public and private
sector construction projects. NAMC’s roles as
a knowledgeable and effective voice for minority contractors
advocacy at the federal, state and local levels remains
an important component of NAMC’s activities. |

| THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR CONTRUCTION EDUCATION
AND RESEARCH (NCCER) |

NCCER—NAMC is one of 15 partnering associations
forming the National Center for Construction Education
and Research (NCCER) to assure that construction clients
receive quality services and that industry workers have
rewarding, progressive careers. NCCER provides world-class
craft training materials, opportunities for leadership
grown, and effective safety training that enhances productivity,
cost-effectiveness and the image of the construction
industry. |

| PLANNING FOR CONSTRUCTION TRADES TRAINING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT |

| Under a grant from the US Department of Labor, Bureau
of Apprenticeship and Training, NAMC developed a pilot
project on sustainable, long-term construction trades
training and job placement for disadvantaged candidates
in inner-city communities. |

| ENVIRONMENTAL TRAINING |
| |
| NAMC began providing environmental training in 1986
with a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA). |
