NAMC-WMAC will host its “Annual Awards Dinner and Gala” to showcase the efforts of the construction industry to maximize the participation and build the capacity of minority contractors. The program is designed to create a public forum to: (1) highlight the significant contributions and support given by major corporations to enhance the capacity of minority businesses and (2) showcase the achievements attained by emerging minority businesses in the construction industry.

The event will also create an atmosphere to inspire, encourage and support all minority contractors in their attempts to “rise” to their fullest potential and successfully participate in and benefit from the significant boom in the construction industry in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Proceeds from the gala will support the efforts of NAMC-WMAC in the development of programs designed to enhance the competitive viability of minority contractors. NAMC--WMAC works with Federal, state and local agency and construction-industry professionals to develop and implement comprehensive training programs, conferences, networking sessions and other public forums for minority businesses to build their capacity and enhance their opportunity to procure contracts in both the public and private sector.
